ASAP (All Students Against Poverty)

ASAP (All Students Against Poverty) MISSION STATEMENT

Disaster Relief is good, permanently abolishing poverty in a cycle of building self-worth and economic self reliance is better. ASAP supports a model of community development that provides training and employment to the poorest segments of society and leads to upward social mobility and stable self-sustaining income for families.

Cambodian Village

OUR ACTIVITIES

We study the economic model and successful implementation of several established programs that eradicate poverty with particular emphasis on Tabitha, an exemplary cottage industry and community development program in Cambodia.

We conduct fundraisers and facilitate sales of cottage industry goods at fair trade prices. The profits are immediately churned back into further community development.

We provide hands on information for anyone interested in joining a micro-enterprise project, either as donor, wholesale or retail buyer of fair trade merchandise.

Every summer, we invite participation in an eight day service learning excursion to Cambodia, building houses side by side with Cambodians working their way out of poverty. We study villages and visit cultural heritage sites, including Angkor Wat.

We invite everyone to become part of the exciting world of Microenterprise and Economic Self Reliance!
